Oh my god

That was awesome! Great, fluid animation, good chuckles during the film and a sick yet hilarious punchline!

Bravo!

Have you submitted this before?

Or something like it? Because I swear I've seen this before... and it was blammed...

Congrats!

It is such a great honour to be the 150th topic!

totally right?

Ahaha

As soon as I heard Peach smoothie I was like, "Uh oh"

Well played!

Ahhhhh...

I was hooked by the first There She Is!!, the fluid animation, the capture of emotions, the characterization with no words. Instant classic!!

Step2 and Step3, just seemed like more of the same for me. Not a bad thing, but not really going anywhere for me. I felt that they were the same as the first two steps except with a new setting and some new characters.

Now Step4, OH...MY...GOD! This was the first time in the series where the characters took on personalities (you could argue they were there before, but really it was just basic archtypes before). There is a story, a hate war and those who fight it. Reminded me a little of Across the Universe for some reason. Anyways, there was depth, exceptional animation (as always), and a first for the series, drama.

This is by far my favourite "Step" of the entire series, and I'm keeping an eye out of Step5!

Bravo!

Well Played

A very nice little piece of animation. You did a good job showing the state of both characters without using words, and their reactions were very expressive. There are two minor gripes I have as to the consistancy of the Blue fellow's character.

First, when the Boogley first enters the scene why does the blue character look at him with interest when he is clearly pissed off. It just didn't seem to fit his mood to have a curious smile on.
Secondly, I felt his burst into laughter should have been a little more gradual because it seemed to drastically change without warning. It would have been nice to see a progression (i.e. a smirk.. then "heh"... then "heh heh"... then small laughter... then crazy laughter or something along those lines).

A final minor thing I'd like to point out is that the blue character seemed to have a lot of trouble pushing the Boogley's arm off him. Maybe that's what you intended, but it just seemed like a forceful smack to the Boogley's arm would have done the trick =).

Overall I think you did a very good job with the character of the Boogley, it was consistent and brought out nicely. It was the Blue fellow that didn't seem to flow... Still a very good animation, Bravo!

TheBoogley responds:

Thanks for the feedback sandman, did you notice that the blue guy was much fatter at the start, it's like the boogley made him lose weight as well as cheering him up... I don't know, I just draw them. :3

Now you're getting it!

Leaps and bounds over a few days, bravo! The resolution is kind of annoying, but that's to be expected from moviemaker. You should try out flash, it'll up your game even more.

I really like how you tell the stories. Using the old-style caption screens is a neat thing to see someone use outside of a parody. Keep it up!

A very solid first submission

Like many have said, the text was a little too blurry. No real story, but a nice insight into a character's mind. I look forward to seeing your future animations.

Oh you kids!

It's sad that some people are too young to have experienced the awesomeness of MISSINGNO. Good ol' pokemon red...

Very entertaining

Dunno what it is, but the dry contrast of characters just cracked me up. Good stuff =)
